Another of the scattering of villages in the east of Lund kommun, Södra Sandby is a good base for a day of wandering the farmlands and nature reserves hereabout—but its greatest appeal is to those of a horsey disposition, as this is Skåne’s stud country.
(In truth, tiny little Flyinge, another village to the north of Södra Sandby, is the beating heart of equine activity in the area… but good luck finding somewhere to stay out there, particularly if there’s some special event in the offing. You might find yourself needing to jockey for position…)
