When in Lund, make sure not to miss the Museum of Lost Sensations, just a few stops along the tramline from the central station. Many museums focus only on the sense of sight, but here, sound and smell and touch (and sometimes taste) are vital factors in the painstaking reproduction of bygone flora and fauna from the Nordic regions.
The mindful soundscapes are very popular: relax in the large armchairs and immerse yourself in the almost unreal sounds from the European Tree Frog or the Arctic Fox. There are also multi-sensory experiences for the more adventurous: get yourself fitted for a VOR (Virtual Olfactory Reality) tuba and experience the singular smell of the black vanilla orchid, and many other plants that your grandparents might have reminisced about.
