Just three decades ago, Lomma was a wealthy little beach-side enclave on Skåne’s west coast, and a popular destination for daytrippers from Malmö, Lund and further afield, particularly during the summer.
It’s still a popular destination now, but is increasingly unpopulated in any permanent sense: the encroaching seas, and the Swedish state’s cautious approach to managing the risk of such, mean that much of this municipality has been given over to nature and assigned flexmark status. If you’ve an adventurous spirit, however, there’s lots to see out here.
